Star Wars (A New Hope) was released in theaters for the first time.
It went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time (up to that point). Adjusted for inflation, it comes in at number 3 in the list of highest-grossing films ever made right behind Avatar (2009) and Gone With The Wind (1939). If you were to include toy/merchandise sales into the mix, it would take the top spot by a very wide margin. It isn’t all just about making money. It currently averages an 8.8/10 on IMDB which places it at #17 all time as voted by users.

Sorry for the unload of shinfo and low quality cell pics,
had them sitting on my phone for too long and needed
to clear em out haha, also trying to document more
of my day to days, just to bug you.
I FINALLY live in the same state as my mom
which means we FINALLY got to spend mothers day together,
the last time this happened was a couple years ago when
I went out to az to suprise her, needless to say its been far too long.
We got some good mother-son bonding time on an
early morning mothers day hike. My mom is definitely
one of the strongest minded and bodied people ive
ever known, she will out run, out hike, out work
anyone ive ever met.
Forget what day this was, but it was definitely
a beautiful day in the city. Headed out there with
my friends nick and peter to shoot this hip-hop
cypher video with a few of the bigger bay area artists.
Had this alley picked out and ready to go and just
by chance that same day these two dudes were
spraypainting this sick ass mural on a wall,
ended up shooting the video in front of them
and it ended up being the sickest background.
The most amazing thing that has come from starting
up WD is all the cool ass people I would have never
had gotten to meet or work with before, forever grateful
for people and our differences.
